About Drape Pendant
Glass shaped by hand
The glass spheres of the Drape Pendant are formed by hand, allowing them to be slightly less than perfectly round. Each glass sphere also features a signature SkLO detail, a rippling fire polished mouth which is created by a second dip into the molten glass, and then the piece is broken from the glassblower’s pipe and fire-polished, making each one different.
Flexible minimalism
The potential of a handmade glass pendant suspended on a fabric electrical cord is endless. With its many customizable options, such as different glass shapes, multiple glass colors and finishes, metal finishes, and cord fabric colors, the Drape Pendant is not one light but a language of possibilities.
The possibilities of simplicity
The Drape collection is an investigation into the potential behind the idea of a simple cord-suspended glass pendant that displays the quality and variation of SkLO handblown glass. It begins, necessarily, with the basic Drape Pendant itself. But from there, minimal additions are made – opportunities to enhance the structure, scale, and design of the diverse series comprising the Drape collection, including the Drape Circle, Drape Arm, Drape Skirt, and many more.
