About Drape Circle 28 Chandelier

Glass shaped by hand

The glass spheres of the Drape Circle 28 Chandelier are formed by hand, allowing them to be slightly less than perfectly round. Each glass sphere also features a signature SkLO detail, a rippling fire polished mouth which is created by a second dip into the molten glass, and then the piece is broken from the glassblower’s pipe and fire-polished, making each one different.

For large spaces and volumes

The larger version of the Drape Circle 18 Chandelier (we added a fourth larger ring), the Drape Circle 28 Chandelier is the chandelier for large, imposing spaces. A modern, minimal take on the classic tiered chandelier, the ability of this simple chandelier to take on infinite different compositions by changing the locations and relationships between the different rings and the rings and their pendants is what makes this chandelier so impressive. Using multiple smaller elements to achieve a larger whole is a hallmark of SkLO design. It works just as well within classic and historic interiors as well as it does within modern ones.

The possibilities of simplicity

The Drape collection is an investigation into the potential behind the idea of a simple cord-suspended pendant that displays the quality and variation of SkLO handblown glass. It begins, necessarily, with the basic Drape Pendant itself, but from there minimal additions are made, opportunities that add structure, shape and volume, to allow for the many varied designs and collections-within-collections, which make up the Drape collection such as the Drape Circle, Drape Hook, Drape Skirt and many more.
