DRAPE SKIRT 15 CHANDELIER
White glass, Brushed Brass metal finish, Black cord

About Drape Skirt 15 Chandelier
Glass shaped by hand
The glass spheres of the Drape Skirt 15 Chandelier are formed by hand, allowing them to be slightly less than perfectly round. Each glass sphere also features a signature SkLO detail, a rippling fire polished mouth which is created by a second dip into the molten glass, and then the piece is broken from the glassblower’s pipe and fire-polished, making each one different.
A linear take on the “skirt”
The Drape Skirt 15 Chandelier takes the innovative language of the SkLO “skirt” concept and creates a linear fixture. The look of graceful simplicity does not reveal the complexity of the fixture. This version fits in all the places where a linear fixture is required, even a patisserie counter in Paris.
The possibilities of simplicity
The Drape collection is an investigation into the potential behind the idea of a simple cord-suspended pendant that displays the quality and variation of SkLO handblown glass. It begins, necessarily, with the basic Drape Pendant itself, but from there minimal additions are made, opportunities that add structure, shape and volume, to allow for the many varied designs and collections-within-collections, which make up the Drape collection such as the Drape Circle, Drape Hook, Drape Skirt and many more.
