SkLO for Meridiani
When Andrea Parisio, the Lead Art Director at Meridiani, saw the SkLO collections at the Maison Objet fair in Paris, it was the inspiration to incorporate SkLO lighting in the styling of the Meridiani showroom at the 2019 Salone del Mobile in Milan.
To create successful environments for Meridiani’s special furniture collections, there must be a careful curation and styling of mixed lighting and accessories in order to give a sense of living surroundings in the showroom.
The FLOAT 16 and FLOAT 20 lights were used in multiple vignettes within the Meridiani Salone showroom, and function within the spaces as an ambient light source as well as a sculptural object.
Here a FLOAT 16 light in clear glass and brushed brass hardware is a sophisticated pairing with a palette of multiple materials such as a Meridiani Owen table in marble, and an Odette chair and pouf upholstered in a vibrant pattern.
FLOAT 20 pendants were suspended by Parisio in a composition of three over a Meridiani Zeno table in a vibrant cherry lacquer finish. The staggered heights of the three pendants create depth and dimension within the space. The materials palette of clear, transparent smoke and transparent olivin glass with brushed brass hardware and black fabric electrical cords lends a subtle touch to the imposing scale of the pendants.
The SkLO PUSH table lamp can be placed on a desk, bedside table or even on a stack of books. This light proves an appealing portable lamp for many areas in the house. For the Meridiani showroom, it was placed in an arrangement with a Meridiani Ida Chair and large Birk mirror.
The DRAPE ARM 3 Chandelier is a beautiful statement light over a dining table. For the Salone del Mobile showroom, Parisio placed a DRAPE ARM 3 Chandelier over a Hubert table in grey lacquer with Isetta chairs in dark blue fabric and a large Birk mirror. The chandelier palette of opaque white glass, brushed brass hardware and gray fabric electrical cord is a perfect choice for this arrangement.
