About Float 2.0 Light
Glass shaped by hand
The glass spheres of the Float 2.0 Lights are formed by hand, allowing them to be slightly less than perfectly round. Each glass sphere also features a signature SkLO detail, a rippling fire polished mouth which is created by a second dip into the molten glass, and then the piece is broken from the glassblower’s pipe and fire-polished, making each one different.
Pushing the limits of glass
Produced without the use of a mould to give it shape, the spheres of the Float 2.0 Lights are meant as a pure expression of handblown glass, and the skill of the Czech glassblowers who produce SkLO glass. The Float 20, at 20”/510mm diameter, is the largest free-blown sphere possible. Perfect signature details for sleek interiors of all kinds.
