Like the SkLO US headquarters, the h2hotel is located in Healdsburg, California. Circe Sher, an h2hotel partner, approached SkLO designer, Karen Gilbert, to help style out a large, open steel shelving unit in the hotel’s lobby. Understanding the importance of the view through the glass wall at the rear of the lobby space, Gilbert unified the shelving with a curated selection of SkLO glass.
“I treated it like a stained glass window”, Gilbert says. The story of the collaboration is featured in the hotel’s in-house magazine (below). Notably, the project also served as the genesis of one of the most popular designs in the SkLO:OBJECT collection: The PAIR Vessel.
