About Drape Circle 8 Chandelier
Glass shaped by hand
The glass spheres of the Drape Circle 8 Chandelier are formed by hand, allowing them to be slightly less than perfectly round. Each glass sphere also features a signature SkLO detail, a rippling fire polished mouth which is created by a second dip into the molten glass, and then the piece is broken from the glassblower’s pipe and fire-polished, making each one different.
Flexible size and proportion
The Drape Circle 8 Chandelier is a small enough diameter to work with multiple dining table shapes and sizes, not just the obvious synergy of round tables. It is also small enough to work in many other scales of rooms and spaces. The ability to adjust the location of the ring in relation to the overall length of the light itself means this light has many different possible personalities.
The possibilities of simplicity
The Drape collection is an investigation into the potential behind the idea of a simple cord-suspended pendant that displays the quality and variation of SkLO handblown glass. It begins, necessarily, with the basic Drape Pendant itself, but from there minimal additions are made, opportunities that add structure, shape and volume, to allow for the many varied designs and collections-within-collections, which make up the Drape collection such as the Drape Circle, Drape Hook, Drape Skirt and many more.
